Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

Converse Inc., a subsidiary of Nike, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Boston, MA. The Senior Data Engineer will design and build scalable, reusable components, frameworks, and libraries to support analytics products. The role includes building continuous integration, test-driven development, production deployment frameworks, and supporting customer production issues. This position will work within an agile scrum team and collaborate closely with business partners, architecture teams, and platform teams to deliver robust data and analytics capabilities.

Roles and Duties:

• Design and build reusable components, frameworks, and libraries at scale.
• Build continuous integration, test-driven development, and production deployment frameworks.
• Provide production debut support and resolve customer production issues, including testing for upgrades (HANA, BW HANA, Business Object tools).
• Collaborate within an agile scrum team alongside the Product Manager, Lead Engineer, and other team members.
• Drive hands-on development and partner with the Engineering Manager for thought leadership and innovation.
• Work with business partners and technology teams to improve data quality and solve data management issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related engineering role.
• Experience with SAP Native HANA, SAP BW HANA, and BOBJ reports.
• Experience with SAP ECC and SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT) for data provisioning.
• Developing complex Calculation Views using graphical interfaces, SQL scripts, and stored procedures.
• Performance tuning of HANA views, stored procedures, and optimization techniques.
• ETL development experience.
